The Touchstone Committee originated in 1975 as a mixed group of business professionals, social scientists and humanitarian peoples who were seeking to be involved in the balance of confrontational environments. We promote the light of hope. And, within this concept, there shall prevail an optimism about this life on Earth.
Parliamentary law and its procedures played a substantial influence on our focus and mission statements. And, we have continued to advocate through the principles of natural justice; where a level playing field is preserved for all parties to a dispute.
We have a reputation for being aggressive and results oriented. We do not tolerate apatheticism; malingering, or the abuse of authority; or, the promotion and endorsement of such organizations as Gladio (1).
Echelon is another form of invasion and deprivation of individual rights through the pursuit of national security.
Ethics of human social behavior structures our sense of fairness; wherein, we seek out the substance of issues; presuming absolutely nothing at the first gate. But, we do enshrine the rights of the individual, as seen through the humour and parlance of the four corners of a law.
Our dedication is to the party who chooses to seek out our support. We may not agree with the claimant's role in these affairs, but we are there to ensure that this feature of balance exists; because, this equity is what will preserve our human dignity in a social and human habitat.
Administrative law is that section of jurisprudence that we strive to specialize in through our advocacy roles - making sure that the system works; is available; and, in particular, that it has not established a series of barricades and road blocks in order to frustrate the party who is striving to reap the benefits that are due to them.
